The Dohnsen-Siddernhausen dolmen (German: Großsteingrab) is a Neolithic megalithic burial monument located on a low elevation between the villages of Dohnsen and Siddernhausen near the town of Bergen in the district of Celle, Lower Saxony, northern Germany [1]. Originally situated approximately 500 metres further to the north, the monument was destroyed during the 17th or 18th century, with its massive stones lying scattered across agricultural fields [1]. Several stones were sunk into the ground while others had been removed for other uses [1]. The dolmen was excavated in 1977 and subsequently reconstructed at its present location [1]. This megalithic structure dates from the Neolithic period, specifically between 3500-2800 BC, representing a fascinating example of prehistoric burial practices in northern Germany [1].
