The Asklepion of Kos is an ancient healing sanctuary dedicated to Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine [1]. Built in 357 BC, it served as one of the principal seats of the Asklepiadai, a hereditary order of priest-physicians who guarded medical knowledge [2]. The sanctuary gained worldwide fame through its association with Hippocrates and other renowned ancient physicians [1]. Pilgrims flocked here seeking both spiritual and physical healing, following traditions where patients slept in the temple to receive divine visions from Asclepius himself [3]. Today, the ruins lie near modern Kos town, preserving fragments of what was once a renowned center of ancient medicine.
