Lindos

Lindos is an ancient city and archaeological site on the eastern coast of Rhodes island in the Dodecanese, Greece. According to legend, it was founded by Dorian settlers led by King Tlepolemus around the 10th century BC. The Acropolis of Lindos dominates the site, featuring the Temple of Athena Lindia from approximately 300 BC. Now a popular beach destination, Lindos retains its historic character with whitewashed houses winding through narrow streets.
