Augusta Raurica is a Roman archaeological site and open-air museum on the Rhine's south bank, 20 km east of Basel near Augst and Kaiseraugst [1]. It is the oldest known Roman colony on the Rhine [1]. In 2022, archaeologists discovered a previously unknown amphitheater, revealing continued discoveries at the site [2].
