Le Mormont is a hill in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland, where in 2006 archaeologists discovered the largest known Celtic sanctuary in Europe, dating to approximately 100 BC. Excavations from 2006 to 2016 revealed more than 600 structures, including 245 deposit pits containing thousands of ritual objects such as ceramics, metal tableware, coins, tools, and ornaments, along with human and animal remains. The site is considered unique in Celtic Europe, as no comparable Iron Age deposits exist elsewhere.
