Fort Abbas is a town and archaeological site in Bahawalnagar District, Punjab, Pakistan, located in the Cholistan Desert south of Haroonabad near the India-Pakistan border[1]. The area was a major center of the ancient Hakra civilization, with ceramic surveys dating to 5000 BC[2]. The town was named by Nawab Sir Sadiq after his eldest son Muhammad Abbas[1].
