Roman Remains under Alfonso X Street

The Roman remains under Alfonso X Street in Toledo, known as the "Chambers of Hacienda," are an underground water distribution network from the 1st century AD that supplied a thermal bath complex located beneath the hypocaust at Plaza de Amador de los Rios [1]. The structure features one large arched central gallery entered through three parallel arched galleries [1]. Hidden in 1628 during construction of the Society of Jesus building, the remains were recorded by Julio Porres and later rediscovered in 1918 [1].
