Dolmen of Cunha Baixa

The Dolmen of Cunha Baixa is a megalithic Beaker monument in the parish of Cunha Baixa, municipality of Mangualde, Portugal, constructed between 3000 and 2500 BC. Discovered in 1892 by Leite de Vasconcelos, excavations revealed polished stone axes, trapezoidal adzes, flint blades, microliths, red and black pottery fragments, yellow ochre for body painting, burnt berry seeds, and a human bone. The artifacts were transferred to the National Archaeological Museum in Lisbon. The dolmen was declared a National Monument on 16 June 1910.
