PortugalSegura Bridge is a Roman bridge spanning the Erges River on the Portugal-Spain border, connecting Segura (Idanha-a-Nova, Portugal) to Alcántara, Spain [1]. It has five arches, of which only the two Roman arches closest to each riverbank survive today [1]. The remaining three arches were added during reconstructions in the 16th and 19th centuries [1]. The 1571 reconstruction work on two arches is noted for being 'barely distinguishable' from the original Roman masonry [1].
