Susupillo is an archaeological site on the northern slope of Susupillo mountain in the Andes of Peru, at over 3,800 m elevation in the Tantamayo District of Huanuco Region. The mountain itself rises to approximately 4,400 m. The site is part of the Tantamayo archaeological complex, which contains more than 80 sites featuring immense stone buildings up to 11 m high with as many as 6 stories, surrounded by formidable defensive walls. Susupillo was declared a National Cultural Heritage of Peru on June 18, 2002.
