Quillcay Machay

A rock art site on the slope of Cerro Ojpay, approximately 6 km from Singa in Huamalies Province, Huanuco, at 3,793 m elevation. The paintings are distributed across four distinct rocky spaces: Quilcay Machay I features an anthropomorphic warrior with spear and shield; Quilcay Machay II contains 31 designs including spiders and serpentine forms; Quilcay Machay III, the largest panel at 9.7 m long, displays Chavin-style mythical figures with feline characteristics; and Quilcay Machay IV shows zoomorphic motifs in red and white. Declared National Cultural Heritage of Peru in 2002.
