PeruAnku is an archaeological settlement in the Peruvian Andes, located in the Huánuco Region, Huamalíes Province, Tantamayo District at approximately 3,900 meters (12,795 ft) elevation [1]. Its name derives from Aymara, meaning "indomitable, unstoppable" [1]. Anku was declared a National Cultural Heritage by Peruvian authorities on June 18, 2002, under Resolución Directoral No. 533/INC [1].
