Wat'a, Huánuco

Wat'a is an archaeological site in the Huanuco Region, Huamalies Province, Singa District, located in the community of Bella Flores north of Singa. The site sits at approximately 3,889 m elevation atop a mountain bordered by the small rivers Tawlli (Taulli) and Aqu (Aco). Its hilltop position between two river valleys is characteristic of defensive Andean settlements in the region, which is home to numerous pre-Inca and Inca-period sites across the Huamalies highlands.
