Intini Uyu Pata

Intini Uyu Pata (also called Inti Uyu) is an archaeological site in Peru's Puno Region, Yunguyo Province, between the districts of Ollaraya and Unicachi, at 3,867 m elevation. The site belongs to the Lupaca society of the Aymara domain and features a temple with 17 stone monoliths distributed around a ceremonial platform. Carved stones depict the sun god Tata Inti with eleven solar rays, the Andean serpent (Katari), and the Andean wildcat (Titi). The complex includes a solar gateway, astronomical observatory, burial structure, and stone staircases. On June 21st, the site hosts celebrations of the Andean New Year (Pachakuti). It was declared a National Cultural Heritage of Peru.
