Intikancha, Puno

Intikancha is a mountain and archaeological site in the Andes of Peru at approximately 4,400 m elevation, located between Lampa Province (Nicasio District) and San Roman Province (Juliaca District) in the Puno Region. The name derives from Quechua: "inti" (sun) and "kancha" (enclosure), meaning "sun yard". The site lies south of the mountain and archaeological site of Pukarani. Intikancha was declared a National Cultural Heritage of Peru by Resolucion Directoral Nacional No. 79, recognizing its historical significance in the broader archaeological landscape near Lake Titicaca.
