Hatun Machay is a rock forest featuring archaeological remains in Peru's Ancash Region, dating to 1–500 AD. Located in the Recuay Province's Pampas Chico District on the Cordillera Negra's western slopes at approximately 4,200 meters elevation, it was designated a National Cultural Heritage site by Resolución Directoral No. 944/INC-2010 on May 7, 2010.[1]
