Naukot Fort

Naukot Fort is a fortification built in 1814 by Mir Karam Ali Khan Talpur in Tharparkar District, Sindh, Pakistan. Known as "The Gateway to the Thar Desert," it was constructed entirely of burnt bricks in mud mortar, measuring 113 meters in length and 98 meters in breadth, with nine semi-circular bastions. The fort served as a Talpur stronghold to defend against Rajput forces and rebellious Sodha chiefs. It was later captured by the British under General Charles Napier and is now a protected heritage site under the Sindh Department of Culture and Antiquities.
