Catacombs of San Gennaro

(1st–5th c. AD) The Catacombs of San Gennaro are underground paleo-Christian burial and worship sites in Naples, Italy, carved out of tuff. Located on the slope leading to Capodimonte in the Rione Sanità neighborhood—historically called the "Valley of the Dead"—the complex comprises two levels: San Gennaro Superiore and San Gennaro Inferiore [1].
