Tel Hazor National Park

Tel Hazor, located in Upper Galilee north of the Sea of Galilee, was the largest fortified city in ancient Israel from the Middle Bronze Age to the Iron Age and one of the most important cities in the Fertile Crescent [1]. The city maintained extensive commercial networks with Babylon and Syria, importing large quantities of tin for bronze production [1]. Mentioned in the Book of Joshua as "the head of all those kingdoms," Hazor controlled vital trade routes connecting Egypt, Mesopotamia, and the Levantine coast [1][2].
