Massive megalithic monument in the Golan Heights consisting of more than 40,000 basalt rocks arranged in concentric circles with a tumulus at its center, dating to the Early Bronze Age (3000-2700 BC). The outermost wall spans approximately 160 metres in diameter. Often called the 'Stonehenge of the Levant,' it sits on a plateau surrounded by hundreds of dolmens. A 2024 study by Tel Aviv and Ben-Gurion Universities found that tectonic displacements of 8-15 mm per year have shifted the structure tens of metres since construction, disproving the long-held astronomical observatory theory.
