Acontisma was an ancient Macedonian settlement located near the border of Thrace on the coast, situated on the Via Egnatia [1]. It was positioned 8 or 9 miles east of Neapolis on a pass bearing the same name [2]. The archaeological site has been identified through remains located approximately 2 miles east of Nea Karvali [3].
