FranceA Neolithic dolmen known as Pierre Levee (also called Pierre Pleureuse or Pierre des Veuves) located in the commune of Fontaine-les-Bassets, Orne department, Normandy, France. The megalithic structure features a sandstone capstone measuring 4m long by 3.7m wide, now tilted and resting on a single support stone. Two additional slabs of 2.75m length were discovered buried to the east during excavations in 1815. Classified as a Monument Historique since 24 April 1934, it represents an important example of prehistoric funerary architecture in northwestern France.
