Taps Combe Camp

Taps Combe Camp, also known as Chelvey Batch Settlement, is an Iron Age promontory hillfort of approximately 2 acres located between Brockley and Backwell in North Somerset, England. The D-shaped fort measures roughly 50 m by 50 m and features varied defenses adapted to the terrain: a deep scarp to the south, a strong rampart to the west, a bank and ditch to the north, and a stronger bank and ditch to the east. The entrance at the northwestern corner is protected by two banks.
