Dinghurst Fort

Dinghurst Fort is an Iron Age univallate hillfort situated south of Churchill in Somerset, England. The earthwork defenses consist of a scarp encircling the hilltop enclosure, standing 2.0 metres (6.5 ft) high on the eastern side and 3.0 metres (9.8 ft) high on the western side[1]. The fort is further protected by a surrounding fosse (ditch)[1]. Archaeological finds within the enclosed area include animal bones, metal rings, and weapons[1].
