Shinewater

A Late Bronze Age settlement discovered in 1995 during clearing of Hydneye lake in Eastbourne, East Sussex, England [1]. The site includes a timber platform [1] [2]. A trackway of three rows of vertical oak posts leads westward toward higher ground [2]. The nationally important Scheduled Monument was found during flood alleviation work, with a 50 m platform section discovered first, followed by a 60 m trackway section the next year [1] [2].
