The Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak is a vaulted-brickwork "beehive" (tholos) tomb located near the town of Kazanlak in central Bulgaria [1]. It is part of a large royal Thracian necropolis in the Valley of the Thracian Rulers, situated near the ancient capital of Seuthopolis [1]. The region contains over a thousand tombs of Thracian royalty and aristocracy [1]. The tomb lies in the Kazanlak Valley, enclosed between the Balkan Mountains to the north and the Sredna Gora mountain range to the south [1].
