Thracian Tomb Golyama Arsenalka

Golyama Arsenalka is a Thracian burial tumulus near Shipka, Bulgaria, dating to the end of the 5th century BC. The tomb features a representative facade, a small antechamber, and a domed chamber, all constructed of finely worked granite blocks with double stone doors sealing the entrances. In the center of the domed chamber sits a circular granite block above a cavity resembling the cult fireplaces of Seuthopolis. Although robbed in antiquity, excavations recovered parts of a gilt breastplate, two small gold ornaments, and horse bones. It is one of six tombs open to visitors in the Valley of the Thracian Rulers.
