A prehistoric underground sanctuary near the village of Garlo in Pernik District, Bulgaria, dating to approximately the 11th century BC. A 7-metre corridor with thirteen stone steps descends to a circular domed chamber (4.2m diameter) with a 5-metre-deep well at its center, built over a natural spring. The structure is nearly identical to Nuragic sacred wells in Sardinia, suggesting cultural connections across the Mediterranean. Excavated in 1972 by Professor Dimitrina Mitova-Dzhonova, the site remains an archaeological enigma.
