Xnaheb

Xnaheb (also spelled Xna Heb) is an archaeological site of the pre-Columbian Maya civilization, situated in the Toledo District of Belize[1]. The settlement dates to approximately 500-1000 AD and represents one of five primary Maya sites identified in the southern Belize region[1]. The ceremonial center is positioned on a ridge of foothills that extend from the Maya Mountains[1]. Archaeological evidence suggests possible cultural connections to Nim Li Punit, another major Maya site in Belize, based on architectural similarities between the two settlements[1]. The site provides important insights into the development and interaction of Maya political centers in the southern lowlands during the Classic period.
