Kʼaxob is a Maya archaeological site in Belize occupied from about 800 BC to AD 900 [1]. Located in the wetlands of Pulltrouser Swamp near the Sibun River Valley, it was inhabited from the Late Preclassic through the Early Postclassic Periods [1]. The site began as a village centered on two pyramid plazas and expanded significantly during the Early to Late Classic Periods [1]. Research reveals specific ceramic types, evidence of agriculture, and increasing social stratification among its inhabitants [1]. The complex includes numerous household mounds, plazas, and ritual spaces, reflecting a community balanced between residential living and ceremonial activity [1].
