Marco Gonzalez Archaeological Reserve

Marco Gonzalez is a Maya archaeological site on Ambergris Caye, Belize [1]. The site contains at least 49 structures, including low platforms and walls [1]. This coastal settlement lacks the pyramids typical of other Mayan sites in the region [1] [2]. First recorded in 1984 by archaeologists Elizabeth Graham and David Pendergast, the site is named after their local guide [1].
