Pusilha

Pusilha is a Late Classic Maya archaeological site in Belize [1]. Located along major east-west trade routes, it served as a key transfer point for regional economic activity [1]. The site contains the only surviving example of Maya bridge construction [1]. Excavations began in 1927 and have revealed insights into Maya social and political relationships between major and secondary cities, challenging theories of conquest and absorption [1].
