Aghios Epiktitos Vrysi

A Ceramic Neolithic settlement (c. 4400-3900 BC) on a coastal cliff 9 km east of Kyrenia, Cyprus [1]. The partly subterranean village comprised eighteen stone structures built in artificial hollows, with winding passages and a defensive ditch ^[2]. Excavations yielded 250 bone needles, 132 spindle-whorls, and distinctive Red-on-White pottery [1]. The site was abandoned after an earthquake around 3000 BC [1].
