A multi-period archaeological site in central Nicosia, Cyprus, with occupation spanning from the Chalcolithic through Byzantine and Lusignan periods [1]. Its Iron Age layers may represent ancient Ledroi, an inland city-kingdom first mentioned in 7th-century BC Assyrian inscriptions [2]. A 2006 discovery of 5th-century BC silver coins -- the oldest hoard found in Cyprus at the time -- helped confirm the location of the kingdom of Ledra [1].
