Kaljaja, Balovac

Late antique fortification southeast of the village of Balovac in the municipality of Podujevo, Kosovo. The irregular trapezoid-shaped fortress was built of cut stone and brick with lime mortar bonding. Walls are preserved up to 4 metres in places, with towers at the east, south, and west ends, and a gate flanked by two towers on the north wall. The remains follow the terrain configuration. Designated a cultural heritage site on 1 March 1986, under the protection of the Republic of Serbia.
