Nim Li Punit (Kekchi Maya for "Big Hat") is a Maya Classic Period site in Belize's Toledo District, located 50 km north of Punta Gorda near Indian Creek village [1][2]. The name references a prominent stela depicting one of the site's ancient kings wearing an elaborate large headdress [1]. The site is bordered by the Maya Mountains to the west and lowland swamps and the Caribbean Sea to the east [2].
