King's Quoit

King's Quoit is a Neolithic burial chamber on the clifftops above Manorbier Bay, 8 km east of Pembroke in Pembrokeshire, Wales. The capstone, made of local red sandstone, measures approximately 4 m by 2.5 m and 0.5 m thick, resting partly on two upright stones and partly on the rising ground. Classified as a sub-megalithic or earthfast chambered tomb, the chamber is partly below ground, with only part of the capstone supported by uprights. Dating to the Neolithic period (c. 4400-2900 BC), the monument was never covered by a mound due to the steep terrain and remains a scheduled monument.
