Greenala Point Fort

An Iron Age multivallate promontory fort on a headland on the south coast of Pembrokeshire, Wales, occupying 1.8 hectares of the former Stackpole Estate. The fort is naturally defended on the east and south by sandstone cliffs, while the northern approach features a formidable series of four scarp slopes with the innermost standing nearly 5 metres high. The western side is defined by a single bank with a 4-metre inturned entrance leading to a triangular annexe with three rampart lines. Evidence of limestone and quartz walling survives near the entrance. Acquired by the National Trust in 1976 and designated a Scheduled Ancient Monument (PE046).
