Archaeological Site Temple of Dionysus

The Temple of Dionysus stands in the ancient city of Teos, one of the twelve cities which formed the Ionian League on the coast of Ionia [1][2]. This sanctuary was dedicated to Dionysus, the Greek god of wine and theatre [1]. The surviving Ionic order fragments primarily date to the Roman period (2nd century AD), but excavations have confirmed an earlier Hellenistic-era temple at the same location [1][3].
