Alinda Ören Yeri

Alinda was an ancient Carian city in inland Caria, Asia Minor (modern Turkey), identified with the Hellenistic Alexandria ad Latmum[1][2]. Perched on a defensible mountain overlooking a fertile plain, the site features a nearly intact agora (marketplace), a 5,000-seat Roman amphitheatre, and a major water system including a Roman aqueduct[3]. Archaeological findings include a necropolis of Carian tombs, multiple temples, and sarcophagi[3]. The city was strategically important during Alexander the Great's 334 BCE campaign in the Achaemenid Empire[2].
