Prehistoric Rock Art Sites in the Côa Valley and Siega Verde is a UNESCO transboundary World Heritage Site spanning the Côa Valley in Portugal and Siega Verde in Spain. The site contains one of the world's largest open-air collections of Paleolithic rock art, with the earliest drawings dating to approximately 22,000–20,000 years ago during the Upper Paleolithic period[1][2]. The rock art depicts primarily animal figures and abstract motifs carved into granite and schist outcrops along river valleys[1].
