South KoreaThe Mount Namsan Belt is a 2,650-hectare zone within the Gyeongju Historic Areas, a UNESCO World Heritage Site inscribed in 2000. Sacred to the Silla Kingdom (57 BCE-935 CE), the mountain preserves ruins of 122 temples, 53 stone statues, 64 pagodas, and 16 stone lanterns from the Buddhist tradition. Notable carvings include the 1.4m Rock-carved Bodhisattva at Sinseonam Hermitage, designated as Treasure No. 199. The peak rises to 494m at Gowibong and spans roughly 10 km north-to-south across some 40 ridges and valleys.
