Revash

Revash is a late Chachapoya funerary complex built into limestone cliffs at 2,800 metres elevation, approximately 60 km south of Chachapoyas in Peru's Amazonas region. The site features 13 mausoleums constructed from rock and adobe, plastered and painted pink and cream, designed as collective burial houses for elite members of Chachapoyas society. The structures have rectangular floors with one or two levels, side doors, and decorative moldings painted with felines, camelids, and human figures. Dating to approximately the 14th century, the complex shows no Inca cultural influence.
