Ñawpallaqta, Fajardo

Nawpallaqta (Quechua for "ancient place") is an archaeological site in Peru's Ayacucho Region, Victor Fajardo Province, on the border of the Cayara and Huancapi districts. Situated near Anta Qaqa at an elevation of 4,030 meters on the eastern side of the Kinwamayu valley, the site represents a high-altitude settlement in the Andean highlands. It is one of several archaeological sites documented in the Ayacucho region bearing testimony to pre-Columbian occupation of this part of the central Peruvian Andes.
