Pilluchu is an archaeological site in the Ayacucho Region of Peru, situated atop a mountain of the same name in the Vilcas Huamán Province, Vilcas Huamán District, southwest of Vilcashuamán [2]. The site occupies a high mountain location at approximately 3,800 meters (12,467 feet) elevation in the Andean highlands [1]. The mountainous setting at nearly 4,000 meters elevation places the site in the high puna ecological zone of the central Peruvian Andes.
