Kanichi

Kanichi is an archaeological complex of approximately 200,000 square meters in the Ayacucho Region, Lucanas Province, Peru. The site was influenced by both the Wari (6th-11th century AD) and Chanka cultures and includes chullpas (funerary towers), religious and ceremonial buildings, service centers, and a water system of wells and springs. The complex was declared National Cultural Heritage by RDN No. 197/INC on April 2, 2003.
