Tapa Shotor was a large Sarvastivadin Buddhist monastery near Hadda, Afghanistan, now an archaeological site [1]. According to archaeologist Raymond Allchin, Tapa Shotor provides key evidence that Greco-Buddhist art of Gandhara descended directly from Hellenistic Bactrian culture, as seen at Ai-Khanoum [1].
