GreeceA town in ancient Boeotia mentioned in Homer's Catalogue of Ships alongside Hyle and Peteon. Located near modern Arma, it has been excavated since 2011 by the Eastern Boeotia Archaeological Project. Key discoveries include early Mycenaean burial chambers within the Blue Stone Structure, Late Bronze Age settlement remains, and a late Archaic polygonal defensive wall standing 5 meters tall at its southern bastion. The site spans from the Mycenaean Age through medieval times.
