Vespasian's Camp

Vespasian's Camp is an Iron Age hillfort in Wiltshire, England, located just west of Amesbury and less than 3 km from Stonehenge [1]. Built on a hill beside the Stonehenge Avenue, the fortification overlooks the River Avon to the south while the A303 road runs along its northern edge [1]. The earthworks date to between 1500 and 500 BC and are a scheduled monument lying within the Stonehenge World Heritage Site [1][2]. The site demonstrates sophisticated defensive engineering with multiple ramparts.
