Bluestonehenge

Bluestonehenge, also called Bluehenge, is a prehistoric henge and stone circle monument about 1 mile south-east of Stonehenge in Wiltshire, England [1]. Tentative dating places the monument between about 3000 and 2400 BC [1]. Excavations in August 2008 and again in August 2009 revealed several stone settings thought to have been erected between 3400 and 2500 BC [1]. The stone circle may have held as many as 27 stones within a diameter of 33 feet (10 m) [1]. The henge ditch and a series of stone settings are all that survives of the site, none of it visible above ground [1].
